Our top-performance rodes are designed for use with rope/chain windlasses. Premium rodes are constructed of the finest quality materials: ISO-standard, hot dip galvanized chain for improved strength and weight savings, and windlass-grade, three-strand nylon rope treated for maximum abrasion- and snag-resistance and flexibility after constant exposure to saltwater and sun. Our standard rodes are made with the same high-quality chain as our premium rodes. The money-saving difference is in the standard, nontreated rope.

        A unique tapered backsplice provides a smooth transition from rope to chain around the gypsy for trouble-free windlass use. Hand-sewn whipping guarantees against unraveling of the heat-sealed strands.
